    Beautiful Weather

We are having some beautiful weather here in Iowa. Nice and cool! Yesterday, 60F and we enjoyed going out. We went in the morning to Des Moines for grocery shopping and surprising how many people were out and about wearing shorts and tee shirts. And grocery prices! My gosh, they are inching up each time we go to the grocery store. Especially the product aisle, with apples, oranges and more having a higher cost than the last time we went to this store. About the only thing so far keeping the prices on level are canned goods. Cereals have gone up and from what I have read, they will go up even more at wholesale level next month. Told wife, we have got to cut back a shade on what we buy.

With the cool weather, of course no a/c running! We have had windows open and fans going for a few days now. Except last night, shut off the window fans as it was too cool to keep them on, even the dog was bundled up in her bed. Should keep this cool weather going for quite a few more days and nights, hopefully from now on.

Yesterday evening, the local businesses here in our town had their yearly customer appreciation cookout. Free hamburgers and hot dogs, all the trimmings and lots to drink. We went of course, as we do every year. Cool compared to last year at this time, as it we 90F last year and 60F this year. Seemed like a bigger turnout because of the weather.

Won’t be too much longer and the farmers around here will be harvesting their corn and soy crops. Across the street, he already has his machines ready to go. The local grain mill is gearing up for the expected crop and is hiring some part time help. From what I have seen and heard from the farmers around here, it will be another bumper crop for all.

Hey, here is a neat idea of a site just put up by a friend of mine. You can grab a tag word and have it linked to your site. Cost is only $5.00. But before you say, word sites are a dime a dozen, and they are, he has a twist on his site that makes it well worth getting a tag. The twist is this: the more the tag is clicked on by visitors, and the more visitors search for a tag or site, the more the tag is worth! My tag at the site is Ads, linked to my site at Dawg Ad Board. In just a couple of days, my $5.00 tag is now worth $5.04! Not much of an increase, but the site is new. We expect my tag to be worth $xxx to $xxxx in a few months. The twist of having a tag increase in value? Visitors can bid on your tag and you can sell you tag at the current rate! So say in a few months, my $5.00 tag is worth $xxxx, I can sell it and make a very handsome profit! All the more reason for you to go to his site quick and get your own tag now for only $5.00. Visit Snezo today. Snezo is the very first online marketplace for buying and selling tags.
