    Food Poisoning

I have not updated this blog as I have had a good 4 day bout of food poisoning! That also put me off updating any of my other blogs and sites.

Last Thursday night, went to bed feeling normal, but soon woke up and I had it bad! All that night, and most of Friday, I was up close and personal with the toilet bowl. What did not come out one end, came out the other end. Mostly liquid in no time at all. Plus I got weaker and weaker, and just could not do a thing. Spend most of the day and that night, in bed trying to sleep it off, to no avail. Even Saturday was a rough day for me. Friday, the most I could take was water and iced tea, no type of food at all, though I tried to eat some plain toast. Saturday was a repeat of Friday for me. Again, most of the day and that night spent in bed, sleeping off and on. Did get some boullion down me during the day, and that evening a small bowl of chicken soup my wife made. Then Sunday morning, I was feeling a bit better, but still kept with the boullion and chicken soup, as you know where it was all going.

Friday afternoon, my wife was talking to her daughter up the street and found out her and her husband had the same as me! Both of course did not go to work. Come Saturday and we found out that the big town wide cookout Wednesday night that the local businesses put out for everyone? Heck of a lot of people were sick also. No one knows what it was, as everyone basically ate the same food. My wife ate the same things I had at the same time and she did not get sick. Someone said maybe it was something in the air. Who knows, but a lot of people suffered along with me.

Got up this morning and felt darn good! It was raining and I had to take our dog out. She was quick with her job as she did not want to be in the pouring rain. Later I made lunch, then cleaned the dishes and the kitchen. Then since our dog needed to go out again, took the trash out so she could run around as the rain stopped. And since someone had a nice fire going in the burn barrel, came back and took all our burnables out to the barrel. Then probably picked some of the last tomatoes we will get this season from the plants, only 4 good plump ones, with only a few decent sized ones left that hopefully will mature out shortly. Then it will be time to yank up the tomato plants. Later tomorrow or next day, will finally harvest all the jalapeno peppers (been leaving them to get as big as possible).

Tonight it is expected to drop to 40F here. Close but not close to freezing. They are predicting a very cold winter for us, with more snow that we have had in the past 3-5 years. I am ready for the snow, but I think our dog will be not very happy since she will no longer be able to stay outside all day.
