No Haircut Today
Today is another beautiful day here in our part of Iowa. Sun shining, decent cool breeze. And as usual our dog Coco has got to be outside. Told wife, she wants to stay outside as much as possible now because she knows winter is coming and she will be stuck inside.
Went to the bank, the post office and finally to my barber today. And darn it all, he was closed! He does not post any hours he will be at the barber shop. He for sure is there Fridays and Saturdays, as that is when all the kids show up for haircuts. So guess will wait until Friday and get in before the kids get out of school.
Have you been keeping up with Houston, Galveston, and the surrounding areas down there in Texas? Our son and his family live in Spring, same with our daughter. Been rough down there with IKE popping in and doing a number on the entire area. Large part still without electricity! Son did get his electricity back on the other day. And of course, got to wonder why people will build right on the shores of the gulf down in Galveston, Surf Side and the Bolivar peninsula. Knowing full well it can happen again and again! But your tax dollars and our tax dollars will bail out everybody down there yet again.
Dow is still down for the week. Dropped a little bit today. And oil went down just a tad today, to end at $105.15 a barrel. And the government still squabbling on that massive $700 BILLION plan to clean up the mess on wall street. Crap, let all those companies go under is what I say! The market will take a plunge, prices may go up, but hey why should our tax dollars, and the tax dollars of our grandkids and great-grandkids go to bail out those idiots? Greed overcame everyone, but now they are pleading poverty? People and companies who made millions daily are broke? Tough I say, let them go bankrupt, out of business, or just go away. Okay, no more right now about this entire mess!
