    Went Shopping

My wife uses Walgreens’ online photo order process to of course order pictures she wants prints of, or prints so she can put in photo albums for the grandkids. Pretty good deal really, as she just uploads the pictures she wants printed out to their site, click order. Then Walgreens sends her an email of the time they will be ready for pickup and where.

So this morning, off to walgreens’ we go to pick up the latest big batch of pictures, plus more photo albums to put them in. She has a photo album for each of our grandchildren and she passes them out to each one every time she fills up another one. As the wife says, if we have to rely on our kids to take pictures, put them in photo albums for the grandkids, we would be waiting forever!

Then off to wally world to get what she wants to get (I have no say, she makes her list and gets what she has on the list). One item we needed were new ink cartridges for our printer. Damn things are costly!!

Oh, will mention. On the way, when we got off the interstate heading to Indianola, I got tabbed for speeding! Yep, doing 67 in a 55 zone. Wife laughed and joked about me speeding and finally after years and years, actually getting stopped and getting a ticket. Told the cop that it is bad enough I pay income taxes to Iowa, now I have to pay more. He laughed and wished me a good day.

Wake up and realize, you’re driving a car.
    It isn’t a telephone booth,
a beauty saloon, a beer parlor, a restaurant
or a moving bird watching platform.

Remember, the life you save may be mine!

The “Teardrop” memorial is real and is a 100-foot September 11th sculpture that was donated by the Russian people and is located in New Jersey.

The memorial was dedicated on September 11, 2006 in a ceremony attended by former President Bill Clinton. Also in attendance were Michael Chertoff, the Bush Adminstration Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, and family members of World Trade Center victims. Recording artist Leann Rimes sang the National Anthem and Amazing Grace at the dedication ceremony.
