No News is Good News?
Has been quiet on the front for our Aunt Louise and our brother-in-law.
Aunt Louise still has her good days and her days when she just lays there more asleep than awake. They are taking good care of her. Making sure her food is correct for her (she does have celiac) and staying with her to make it eat if no one else is there with her. Plus of course, daily washing her and changing her clothes. And since she complained the other day about her feet hurting, they now come in during the night and reposition her to make sure her feet no longer hurt her (they don’t now). We have not gone for a few days since her daughter and a few others have everything under control. We did get slotted in for tomorrow afternoon to go and visit her without others around. Makes for a better visit with no one else but us and Aunt Louise.
Just got word her daughter has a fever, urinary tract infection, and something else. She of course stresses and has been stressed from day one, plus spending almost every day and night with her mother. She has someone who has taken over for her for today and tonight. Hoping she is a bit better tomorrow. Told her, still not feeling well, we will take over for a day or two.
Now our brother-in-law? He is still in the hospital and the still have him hooked up and keeping him alive. Doctors say, he may live for some time like that, he may recover enough to go home, or he may slip away at any time. Thing is, doctors say he will be like this from now on. Going from death’s door to recovering enough to get up and move. Sister will call us though if he does again slip down. Or if he passes away. It is rough for her, knowing her husband is just laying there, though he has lucid moments and can recognize people and talk to people. Not too many from what we have heard though.
