    We do keep busy here

Been a few days since I updated my blawg here. Weekend was a somewhat busy time for us. Seems to be the time the grandkids here get active and want to come here and visit.

Saturday wife went to the graduation party of one of our grandnieces. I did not go as I pointed out to wife that it would be at the minimum of 90% women. And I was right! Wife made her signature taco salad for the party. But first she and our niece who had come to stay with us Friday night had to go visit Aunt Louis. And leave her a good portion of the taco salad plus some sauerkraut wife made. Aunt Louis does great over the weekend, had phone calls from her sister in California (another dear old aunt) and her brother in Connecticut. Plus quite a few people came by and visited her. She was still lively and wide awake for the evening on both days. She enjoys her new recliner as with just pushing a few buttons, she can adjust it to make her comfortable (she mentioned it was softer than her bed, but will resist the urge to sleep in it at night). Her room did get decluttered as they removed the spare bed and brough in another chair for visitors. Wife said now it looks homey and Aunt Louise is happy about the new look of her room.

Our brother-in-law on the other side of Iowa is doing okay after his operation to put in a heart pacemaker. He is in his own room and not hooked up to anything. Hopefully they will release him back into the wild this friday. And this time, maybe he will go for quite a while before having to be rushed back to the hospital. Doctors are encouraged by his progress.
