    President’s School Speech

I certainly am not going into a long rant here! Not even going to rant period. Just want to say this about our president speaking tomorrow to the children in school. And that is I think it is great for him to speak to our kids and tell them to stay in school, study, and go on to college.

Now, how in the hell is that indoctrination our kids into being little socialists ready to defend the president at all costs? How is that even remotely close to the Hitler Youth? What kind of idiot makes that dumb and stupid connection?

So, if you are one of those scared little parents who are going to keep your kids home from school tomorrow, or have your kids not attend the particular class to hear the speech, I have just this to say: YOU ARE FREAKING DUMB!

Okay, that is it for the president and his speech to our kids tomorrow.

This morning, very heavy fog. Barely see across the street. But now it is clearing away fast as the sun is shining and warming us up. Forecasting a high today here of 79F. I am ready for some sun and heat, just like the gardens are.

Two great sites about twitter and using twitter for your job search. This is great information that can help you if you are looking for a job. Use twitter!

Twitter could be used in a job search. and Bill Seaver, a social media consultant, has some good suggestions about using Twitter effectively as a job-search tool.

This should be interesting! The chairman of the Senate Finance Committee is proposing a fee on insurance companies to help pay for health coverage for uninsured Americans. You just know that this is just another way for the democrats in power to tax all of us. Because a fee on the companies will just be passed on to us by those companies. Stupid idea and hope it dies a quick death!

Well, I noticed that locally the price of gasoline went up a few cents per gallon in advance of this Labor Day weekend. Grab dollars from every driver out this weekend. And of course, oil is going to slowly inch up. Oil prices climbed to near $69 a barrel Monday, helped by rising equity markets, a weaker U.S. dollar and expectations that OPEC will keep its members’ output levels steady at this week’s meeting.

And that is all from me for today. Going to enjoy the day here (like I do every day, one of the perks of being retired). Hope Labor Day finds you taking it easy with your family and your friends. And if you are working today, I do thank you!
