Appholes
Do you all watch the Daily Show with Jon Stewart each evening? I surely do, because he (Jon) really is funny yet very plugged into what is going on. I mean, come on….forget Leno, Letterman, any other comedian out there! You watch Jon one time and you will be hooked (wish I could say the same about the guy that follows him, Colbert). Anyways, he really went after Apple and Steve Jobs last night! Watch the video.
The Daily Show With Jon Stewart Mon – Thurs 11p / 10c Appholes Daily Show Full Episodes Political Humor Tea Party This morning we went to Osceola to get some groceries at Fareway. Wonder why Fareway in this area has Hy-Vee beat? Found out first, no damn plums! Yes, wife wanted to buy some plums to bring to Aunt Louise and I just felt like I wanted plums. But no, not at Fareway. Explained that there seems to be a plum shortage? Or just not available at present? Who knows. Then on to onions. Damn but they are expensive all of a sudden. I mean come on, $1.59 per pound for onions? Who or what brought about a shortage on onions that they jumped up so much? Same with watermelons. These little round balls were expensive.
Today the sun is out in all it’s glory. But the wind! It is not dying down at all. And it is said the wind may get worse later today and tonight? Plus of course, tonight, all night long, is to be rain and thunderstorms. At present, we are over normal for rainfall. But every bit of rain is welcome and good for the earth and for all on earth.
Okay, that is it for today. Do check out my two domain blogs. Each has lists of dropped domains that are available to register. The lists are freely posted by me and you can take any domain or domains you find and register at your favorite registrar. Now I have to say this to prepare you, but one domain blog at present has lists of adult domains. Now do go to:
Fresh Dropped Domains – great lists of domains every day.
Fresh Domains – Lists of adult domains here. Probably will post nothing but adult domains here for a bit.

I slept with Lindsay Lohan
Today is just a quiet day. Nothing of importance happened to my wife and I yesterday and today. Enjoy the stuff I found surfing around the net.
This is not meant to upset anyone. I just think it is hilarious! And probably something at one time or another we have all seen at the beach.
If I have to explain this one….

Something to think about here, especially you grandparents (like us):
A woman always knows she is the mother of her child but a man has some uncertainty about his paternity because he might have been cuckolded. This issue is compounded for grandparents.
A maternal grandmother knows with certainty her genetic material has passed to her grandchildren through her daughter but a paternal grandfather has double uncertainty – he has no certainty that either his son or his grandchildren bear his genetic material.

Coprolite Happens
Of the 3,141 county and county equivalents in the United States, 261 are ‘dry.’ Dry counties prohibit the sale of alcohol. They exist in 13 U.S. states. – Provided by The World Almanac 2010

Don’t talk to aliens, warns Stephen Hawking . Not me, if I came across one, or one comes across me, we will have some kind of discussion.
This helicopter was built in 1924. It was the first controlled helicopter that used vertical take off unlike the regular air planes. It went a speed of 40 mph. This helicopter opened the way for many more models to come.
Some very interesting photos from China in the aftermath of the earthquake. Check them out, you will enjoy them as I have.
The gold vault in the Federal Reserve Bank New York is reportedly the largest gold depository in the world. Yet compared to other major gold vaults, such as the one at Fort Knox, it appears lightly secured. There are one or two guards at the loading dock which connects to the vault. Because the building is located in a dense urban area, its walls and entrances abut sidewalks without security barriers like those at other bullion depositories. The site of the building slopes such that the topmost levels of four basements where the vaults are located directly adjoins two streets, albeit there are 8-foot thick reinforced concrete walls with steel face plates as well as interior alarm systems protecting the horde.

For those who still remember as I do, Frank Sinatra and Natalie Wood:
Anthony Perkins and Audrey Hepburn:
Wife is due back this evening! Tell you, it has been quiet and boring here without her around. Even our dog Coco is laying about wondering where she is. They should be leaving Coralville (the part that is above North Liberty on the lake) between 3 and 4PM today. Makes for after 6PM to about 730PM for a home time. Yes, she will call me again when they leave and more times during the trip here. God, but I do miss my wife!
Surely by now you have figured out what coprolite is? I think that says it better than the way everyone else says it!

Sunday Update
Not a whole lot happened since last post. I am still alive and kicking, with no pains or problems. And still taking the medication the doctor prescribed. On one medication tomorrow morning is the last pill and on the other medication about 5 more days.
My son down in Texas called yesterday. Yes, a time to celebrate for sure as he is not the swiftest when it comes to calling his dad. He, his wife and the two kids are doing great. But two things he talked about (okay, I questioned him to no end to get the full story). First is my daughter (well, she does not look at it that way plus her mother in her dotage has decided that I am not her father,,another long story for maybe another time) and her husband. They got married last year (that is when I found I was not the father, from the wedding invitation!) and since then? She lives in her house and he lives in his house! She is in Texas, he is in Mississippi! Go figure on that one. But it seems that he is contracted to the state of Mississippi and has to work at a state hospital until his state loans for nursing school (another thing that I think is hilarious, her marrying a nurse) are paid off. So that means the two of them take turns either driving or flying to meet with the other.
The second was my first wife’s brother. He had a head-on collision last month. He either went to sleep or had a diabetic coma and hit another vehicle head-on. No one was killed, but he is in poor shape and so far has had about 12-13 operations and the doctors don’t think he will have use of his legs. Real tough for him.
Today, my wife went with her daughter to the other end of Iowa (Coralville). Daughter has a meeting tomorrow in North Liberty to attend. Plus one of my wife’s sisters is celebrating her birthday today. Yes, I am surviving here all by my lonesome. They should be back tomorrow night.
Okay, weather wise? Past three days we have had rain here. So plenty of good moisture for the gardens.
