Bailout Secrecy
Two months after the government unfolded the TARP, it and the other federal programs related to the bailout are looking more like a blanket of secrecy.
The Troubled Asset Relief Program, as the $700 billion bailout program approved by Congress is known, was supposed to be conducted with transparency and oversight.
The TARP and other provisions of the federal bailout, however, remain shrouded in uncertainty. TARP, though, is only one piece of the overall bailout. The Federal Reserve and the Treasury have been shoveling huge piles of money into the markets during the past two months through channels that don’t require congressional approval, yet taxpayers have little idea where the money is going or what the government is getting in return.

It is stuff like the above that really gets me mad at the entire bailout scenario! Who is getting all this money? Why are they getting all this money? And so many other questions that NO ONE will give truthful answers to. Can or will Barack Obama get these answers and tell us? Only time will tell because for sure, our elected officials are not pushing to get those answers nor it seems do they want to know the answers for fear people will not like the answers and will hold those elected officials to task come next election period! People, do not vote just every four years! Vote every two years when those senators and congressmen come up for election. Remember who is screwing us and do not vote for them!
Looks like the democrats are really pushing to bailout the auto industry! Geesh, any democrats with any brains? For sure, Pelosi and her buds do not want any republicans to stand in their way of doing what they want to do, regardless of the cost and the pain to the people!
But at least so far, most republicans are fighting this auto industry bailout. Read this article:
Top GOP senators oppose bailout for auto industry
Well we are going to our son and his family down in Missouri for Thanksgiving. New plans for us though, as our daughter and her husband will be going first to his parents for Thanksgiving dinner, we get to go to Des Moines and pick up our other daughter and the 3 grandkids from their dad. Told wife, if we go there and pick them up, we continue on to Missouri. Going to have to have the van checked out to make sure it is okay for the trip.
