How I feel
Saw the above cartoon and that is how I feel about both candidates. One talks a good game but has not one idea as to what to do. The other basically ignores the entire mess.
Face it, the current candidates are throwing mud at each other, talking about what they have done good, what the other candidate has done bad, and in essence just telling the voters what they think will get them the votes.
Neither candidate really has a plan as to what to do once elected! All I know, going from past experience, is that I will have to hang on to my wallet, no matter who is elected!
And the latest is Pelosi wanting to give 150 billion more dollars, but to taxpayers, welfare recipients and small businesses. I have seen no figures or plan on how she wants this done. For sure, we taxpayers will come out on the losing end of this latest boondoggle to spend money the government does not have. And remember, whatever money the government actually gives to us poor taxpayers, it is our own money we are getting back!
Saw the Sooners lose to the Longhorns yesterday. Both teams played super, but Texas just flat out played better than the Sooners. For sure, too many times in the game, the Sooners were not playing like the number one team! And the polls came out today and guess what? Texas is now number one! Oklahoma dropped to number four. But we were heartened quite a bit yesterday when the Iowa Hawkeyes won!
Enjoying today, as it seems to be the last nice day we will have for some time. Tonight rain and cool weather will move in to Iowa and keep up in the 40-60’s for the next week. Still no official word of just when we will get our first freeze of the season. For sure, the farmers are out in force statewide to harvest their crops of corn and soy beans.
Over this weekend, the 3 grandkids from Des Moines were down here, along with their mother. They stayed at our daughters place as we have no room. Was great to visit and interact with the three of them (2 granddaughters, one grandson) as we only get to see them once a month.
