Plans were changed (I had no input in the original plans or the new plans) for the family get together for this Thanksgiving. Instead of going to Missouri and spending a few days with our son and his family (oh, that means everyone here, our kids and grandkids in Iowa), we will instead be staying home. From what wife told me (she once in a while lets me know what is going on), our oldest granddaughter and her husband were going to Arkansas for Thanksgiving, and one daughter and her kids may not have wanted to go to Missouri (grandpa makes us shut up and be still in the van! hahahahhaha).

So now the new plans are this (subject to change): Thanksgiving will be held for the family at our daughters house down the street. Of course, this morning our son down in Missouri may not come up because now they made plans already. Try to get a family spread out to get together and make plans and stick to them. Not easy for sure.

Weather has been quite nice the past few days, with sun now and again. Today it is about half sun and half clouds. Gorgeous days to spend time outside. And we do, quite a bit. See, we do not smoke in the house and instead go outside and sit. Always wonder what people think as they drive by and see either or both of us sitting out there, even late at night. And that was the reason for the trip down into Missouri this morning. To stock up on cigarettes and cigars. Much cheaper there than here in Iowa.

Wife is hinting about changing the look of this room, where the computer is. But she will hold off until we find a new desk and/or table for the computer, as present one is a corner unit and it will go out the door. That way she says we can move the computer to another wall, move the bed to where the computer is now, and bring in the long dresser from the other bedroom in here. Plus the old table that is in the room now may be history finally! We have hauled that old table from Iowa to Texas and back. Used to belong to her mother, but it is a wreck and I learned a long time ago not to say anything. Now she is saying that finally we either throw it out or store it at either daughters or at our granddaughters place. Yes, let them deal with it!

Okay, must now deal with figuring out how to pay off all the doctor and hospital bills. Don’t let anyone kid you, it is expensive to go into a hospital for any reason. Plus set up appointment for my wife to see her doctor. She is worse than me about going to the doctor, though she denies it. Then sometime next month go to get our eyes checked out and new glasses.
