Well, last night’s game is history. Always next year for the Sooners. And the final AP poll of college football rankings came out this morning. No surprise to see Florida at number one with Utah at number two. Texas came in at number four behind USC with the Sooners at number five. But surprise, surprise! Iowa Hawkeyes showed up on the list at number 20! Last but still it shows that the Hawkeyes are better than most people gave them credit, with there late season wins and then the bowl win. Like to see the Hawkeyes in the top 10 at least when the new season begins this year.

The Illinois House voted overwhelmingly today to impeach Gov. Rod Blagojevich, an unprecedented action that sets up a Senate trial on whether he should be thrown out for abuse of power, including allegations that he tried to sell President-elect Barack Obama’s vacant Senate seat. Impeachment required just 60 votes. The final result was 114-1. Now to see how quick this idiot is removed from office and then thrown into prison for a few years!

What rednecks, and possibly those college yahoos, use to remember those important things.
